Yet again the Aipp Nikon Event proved to be a great success, thank you to all the attendees who visited our stand at the Hilton.

Our Wedding and Boudoir Suites received a lot of interest along with our Vivaldi D’Arte albums, for those that did not get a chance to see them at the show we will be highlighting these products in our blog next week.

I must say that the highlight for me was having the honour of seeing David Burnett. David’s photographs are iconic but what I found fascinating was listening to the stories he had for each image. These stories were not a narrative of the image but a historical account of events from a man in the centre of the storm. When going away from home I always like to take a few shots of my trip its one of my little personal projects. Unfortunately when attending an Event the days are long and tiring and the nights are long and cloudy….

I managed to find some time Tuesday afternoon after the trade show had finished to take some images, my only problem was that I was absolutely exhausted.

Anyway for anyone interested here are some images I took during my 30min stroll around Adelaide city.

We absolutely adore this version of the Evolution album Shot by the fantabulous Toni Snell. This is a great example of how a classical style of album can be given a contemporary twist.

The cover option that Toni has chosen for her client is the Genuine Leather cover with a Motif design and a metal plaque with her lovely couples names engraved.

Although it is not pictured here you are able to create a designer leather slipcase with the same motif design to display this album beautifully in your home, as well as to protect if from dust and the elements.

You will notice that on the image featuring the side of the album there is a distinct black/white layering visible.  Toni has selected a mixture of ivory and black mats for her album which means that you can choose the best mat to coordinate with your image.

We had quite a busy schedule during the week which meant it was going to be difficult to find the time or opportunity to pull my camera out, however I did manage to get a few images.

On the way to see a friend in Crows Nest, we walked past this business. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to photograph.

We were talking to a very inspirational photographer when I saw this shot from across the road, thank you Lynda for letting me use your lens.

Just about to enter a studio in Leichardt when we saw this bug. I’m no entomologist but I’m guessing this is Spiderbug trusty sidekick to Spiderman…

“You don’t know, what you don’t know”…. was a phrase highlighted at a seminar I attended some years ago. The initial reason that this somewhat ambiguous statement resided with me was that I had absolutely no idea what it meant; yet everyone around me was writing it down like it was the answer to life’s great question.
