August Exposure 2011

By Michael Zervos on September 1, 2011

“You don’t know, what you don’t know”…. was a phrase highlighted at a seminar I attended some years ago. The initial reason that this somewhat ambiguous statement resided with me was that I had absolutely no idea what it meant; yet everyone around me was writing it down like it was the answer to life’s great question.

After the fog cleared from my mind, I realised that I couldn’t do everything on my own and if I was to be a success I needed help. I needed to find out what I didn’t know and then find the answer. The reality is though there is so much we don’t know, we must continue to explore to evolve; our journey and our quest for knowledge never stops.

If you are new to our photographic community or if you have been in business for less then 5 years, seminars like August Exposure will help you to “know what you don’t know”. You will hear from a number of industry experts along with business and marketing innovators; in essence you will learn from the mistakes of others!

We have been proudly sponsoring AE for the last 3 years and have seen first hand the positive influence that it has had on both new and established businesses across Australia.

Please, visit the AE facebook page to see all the comments from photographers that attended this year and put a note in your diary to attend this seminar next year. I can assure you it will be one of the best investments you can make for your business.

Contact us with any specific business areas that could be of interest to you – it will help us to formulate the business modules that we are putting together to assist our customers.

Studio Con Brio Album Design Workshop

By Michael Zervos on August 12, 2011

WOW… What a great night!!!

Tuesday night was a wonderful night here at Photo Mounts as we played host to a fantastic seminar organized by AIPP Queensland Council. The showroom was filled with a mix of industry greats, well established studios and some brand new photographers. They were all here for the “Effective Album Planning” seminar from one very inspiring business, Studio Con Brio.

Trudy & Dean opened up and discussed how the “design” element of their business is the corner stone of the entire operation. Their philosophy encompasses presenting their work through creative design in a beautifully presented album.

Well done AIPP Queensland for putting on a wonderful seminar with two amazing people sharing some wonderful ideals. Trudy and Dean Bolton are not just an amazing couple, they are an innovative studio offering their clients uniquely designed and conceptualized albums.

Truly an inspiration for any photographer or business operator……
